Weymouth Supported Living and Specialised Mental Health Team

 

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our compassionate team at Elsadene, a Specialist Mental Health Residential Home in Weymouth. Elsadene provides exceptional care for individuals with severe and enduring mental illnesses, helping them lead full, dignified, and independent lives. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care while ensuring the safety and well-being of the people we support.

Our offer to you:

· Location: Weymouth

· Hours: 37.5 hours per week

· Pay Scale: £12.79

· Contract: Permanent

About You:

You are team-oriented, an effective communicator, and a proactive listener. You may already possess or be willing to work towards a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Above all, you are passionate about providing emotional and practical support to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

· Service Management: Assist with daily operations and team coordination.

· Resource Management: Handle staff schedules, manage absences, and ensure adequate staffing.

· Governance and Safeguarding: Adhere to protocols and manage service risks effectively.

· Health and Well-being: Promote and maintain health and well-being standards.

· Compliance: Ensure the service meets all regulatory requirements.

· Team Leadership: Lead and develop a competent and compassionate team.

· Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional learning and development.

· Documentation: Ensure accurate and accessible service documentation.

· Emotional Support: Respond to the emotional needs of the people we support.

As a Team Leader, you'll be instrumental in driving the future development of our service and expanding our network in this area. Embrace the flexibility of alternating between working within our specialised mental health residential care home and supporting people in their own homes and communities. We need someone like you - a highly motivated, proactive, and effective Team Leader who can seamlessly manage day-to-day operations, coordinate personalized support plans, and ensure a safe and flexible environment. With excellent communication skills and a resilient nature, you'll also bring your digital care planning expertise to the table, along with a flair for team management and quality assurance systems. Salary: £14.30 per hour - Plus, enjoy 50% extra pay for bank holidays, mileage reimbursement, and travel time when away from your base service.
